LastPass changed its price structure, forcing free users to choose between using computers or mobile devices. BOSTON, JLastPass today announced the launch of the LastPass Allegiance Partner Program which makes it easier for Solution Providers, Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Technology Partners to help their customers prevent compromised credentials. The last update to LastPass in 2021 means that free users can only use their account on either mobile devices or computers, but not both. On the other hand, if you choose a PC as your active device type, you'll be able to sync passwords across as many PCs as you want. As of March 16, 2021, LastPass Free only includes access on unlimited devices of one type (Computers or Mobile Devices). They will have to choose one type of device. If you have a phone, tablet, and smartwatch, passwords will be able to sync across all of those devices. Starting March 16, LastPass users on the free plan will no longer be able to use the password manager on on their phone and laptop. When the change goes into effect on March 16, LastPass Free users will be asked to choose an active device type, and it will begin syncing passwords across devices of the same type.
